Pumpkin painting

The kids painted pumpkins this morning. They had a great time, but the cleanup was a big job. As you can see from the pictures, things progressively got messier and messier! Oh well, it was fun anyway. The kids are very proud of their masterpieces!
Caroline was very careful and meticulous!
Will was just so happy to be painting!
Jack couldn't slow down enough to even enjoy the painting. He was in high gear!
And then it got messy!
Yep, messy!
Yes, that's right, paint in the hair!
Caroline's finished product!

Kistler Kids Day

Saturday was Kistler Kids day at the Oktoberfest. It is a day where all the families of children who receive services at the Kistler Center come together for a day of fun and excitement. There were pony rides, bounce arounds, and many carnival like games. The kids had a blast. It was a good opportunity for us to go and support all of the wonderful things that the center does for many families, including mine. Jack received therapy there for about 1 year, and Will has been receiving therapy there for about 2.5 years.

When I was a teenager I used to take a little girl I babysat to the center for therapy. I was always in awe of how cool the place was, and how caring all the therapists were. It always struck me as a fun place for the kids to do their work necessary for them to be healthy, happy, and functioning as normally as possible. Little did I know, I would have my own child who goes there twice per week, learning the skills necessary to be a happy, healthy little boy!

This is Will bowling. He was very serious about knocking those pins down!!
Caroline loved the ponies. The boys DID NOT.
Jacker was "fishing" for a prize. He was pleased with his catch.
Eating lunch after a busy fun filled morning!

~Photo Shoot~

We took the kids to the airport today to snap some updated photos of the kids. Let's just say, I now know why it is so expensive to have pictures professionally taken. My BUSY children make photography a little complicated. All that being said, I did get some good shots.

Will's a Big Boy Now!!!-- UPDATED

It's official. Will is a big boy. We went today to buy big boy underwear. At first he wanted no part in underwear.......until we got to the store. Then he liked the idea when he got to pick his own out! We'll see how it goes. Hopefully he's as ready as I think he is.

Jack, on the other hand, was doing so great potty training--and now has just lost interest. He is doing great at school and staying dry, but at home not even candy motivates him. Lazy little boy! I'm hoping when he see's Will in underwear, that will motivate him. We'll see!

Picking out his first pair of new undies! I know, I'm a freak for carrying my camera around and taking pictures of my kids in the middle of stores. What can I say??
**UPDATE** We had our first day and night wearing our new underwear. He is hysterical. He did not want to wear pants or pajama bottoms to bed, because he couldn't see his new undies. The first ones he picked to wear were red with a dinosaur on the behind. He ran around chanting, "I have a red bottom," which was precious. Jack, on the other hand, has enjoyed wearing the undies on his head like a hat. I'll try to get a pic. of that and post it soon.

"Touch a Truck"

This weekend at Chic-fil-A there was an exhibit called 'touch a truck'. In their parking lot there was any kind o truck you can think of. Dump trucks, fire trucks, buses, 18 wheelers, hum v's, etc. The kids were able to go on each truck and sit, honk the horns, and see what it was all about. It was kinda crowded and crazy, but lots of fun!

Mom came too and brought Evan and Ella. Then we went to eat at pizza parlor. Good times.

Jack loved this big military truck! Will--not so much.
Hanging out in the back of the bus, waiting for the rain to stop.

Can you tell the bus was their favorite??!! I think it was the "least threatening".

I think this picture is too cute!! Mom, I'm envisioning this as a potential screen saver for your computer at work! Don't you just love how I get in your business?
We took up the whole place. Lunch was pretty calm and everyone was well behaved........except Jacker. He was a little on the wild side!

Little Miss Picasso

Tonight Caroline was lying on the floor coloring, and this is what she drew. Maybe I'm biased--but--I think she is VERY talented, especially for a four year old. She never ceases to amaze me!
The red things are clouds. She informed me that red clouds are pretty, and that she couldn't draw white clouds because the white crayon won't work on white paper. She has a point!

Fun, Fun, Fun!

Well, a few weeks ago I decided to take the boys to gymnastics with Caroline. They have a play area that siblings of gymnastics kids can play in while class is going on. Jack was hooked the first time we ever went. He found the tallest point, and immediately made his way there to slide down. Will.........not so much. He had a lot of trouble maneuvering in the place. He loved the idea of it, but was terrified in reality. I guess after that first week, he thought a lot about it. He talked to me a lot about how next time he was gonna climb to the top. Well, next time he did! I guess he just had to take some time to process the situation. It is such a good little workout for him, and develops those gross motor skills. They have an absolute blast! Now they wake up every morning to ask if it's "nastics" day. Needless to say, they go every week now!
