It was totally not worth the fight this morning...and really, he thought he was being quite fashion forward, and I didn't have time to argue with him!!!
For Christmas, the kids got the board game "Don't Wake Daddy". You move your pieces around the board and try not to land on things that will cause you to push daddy's alarm clock. To make a long story short, daddy randomly pops up out of his bed and "wakes up". Then you have to go back to the beginning if you're the one to wake him up. Sounds fun, right?
Tonight we decided to teach the kids how to play. The boys were having a blast. Caroline, not so much! It seemed that every time she spun the spinner, she had to push the alarm clock and daddy always woke up. She was scared to death!!! The first few times he "woke up", she jumped and screamed....as the game progressed, she hysterically cried and would not take her turn. She decided to sit out and watch. Do you see the look of horror on her face as she waits in anticipation while Jack pushes the alarm clock? Every time he popped up she just cried and cried. Something tells me she's gonna have nightmares tonight!!!!
The kids got skates for Christmas (thanks Pootie) and we headed outside earlier this week to try them out. Well, it didn't go so great. No one could stay upright. There was a lot of falling, and Will did a lot of crying. Jack was the best skater in the bunch!!! We quickly decided to ditch the skating and head to the backyard for some trampoline action. Maybe this spring we'll try again.
Jacker took all the popcorn from the bowl, and loaded it into his remote control dump truck. You can see what happened next. He spent about 20 minutes vacuuming up his mess!! Never a dull moment.
I got the grand idea to get the train table out of storage this weekend. What was I thinking? It was fun and great for about the first 4 minutes, and after that it was a complete train wreck! Oh, the fighting. By the time it was all over with, I had three screaming and crying little ones who spent some quality time in time out.
After the initial competitiveness was done, they really have enjoyed playing with it this weekend. Hopefully soon daddy will set the track up the way it should be. We have a makeshift circle right now, but they don't seem to mind!

This was right before they ALL went to time out! She was just the one I happened to snap a shot of! Has anyone ever had a toddler on steroids? Jack is on his 2nd round of steroids in about a month. He is absolutely wild, and eating me out of house and home. We started the meds on Wednesday, for respiratory issues. It has worked wonders, but at the same time replaced my sweet mama's boy with a raging toddler who is climbing the walls..........literally.
Here he's climbing on top of the play kitchen. He has gotten multiple spankings for this. When he did it today, I grabbed the camera and told him that I was taking a picture to show his daddy that he is in trouble. He thought it was quite funny.
